It's time to start thinking about registering your children for religious education! This year we are offering online pre-registration on our website. Meet the new administrator for St. Mary's & Augustine's Churches!

Bishop Cunningham announced on May 12 that Fr. Chris Looby, currently administrator of St. Peter's Church in Lowville, will be administrator of St. Mary's and St. Augustine's effective June 12. Fr. Chris grew up in Harrisville and is a graduate of Harrisville Central School. After attending Jefferson Community College he spent a year working WTOJ-WATN radio in Watertown. Fr. Chris graduated from Wadhams Hall Seminary in Ogdensburg in 1995 and began his theology studies at St. Mary's Seminary & University, Baltimore, Maryland. He was ordained to the priesthood by Most Reverend Gerald Barbarito on May 12, 2001. Since ordination Fr. Chris has been assigned to St. Peter's Church, Plattsburgh, Holy Family Church in Watertown and most recently St. Peter's in Lowville. He is the son of Deacon Philip and Barbara Looby of Harrisville and is the oldest of seven children. He is the proud uncle of 10 nieces and nephews. Fr. Chris is excited to continue his ministry in Franklin County where his aunt, Sr. Mary Elizabeth Looby, GNSH, is a pastoral associate in the Malone Catholic Parishes. His uncle, Fr. John Looby, is pastor of St. Edmund's Church, Ellenburg.
